Assist the Senior Scout Leader/Kaiarahi to deliver the Mosgiel Scout Group programme

  • Have an understanding of the background, principle, method, spiritual dimension and structure of Scouts.
  • Deliver the national programme for the Scouts section taking into account needs, interests and abilities of youth member.
  • Agree upon the responsibilities with the other leaders, parent helpers and scouting associates.
  • Ensure the safe delivery of the programme in accordance within policy, Organisation , events and adventurous activities.
  • Prepare and encourage youth members to progress to the next level.
  • Mentor the youth to develop their leadership skills.

  • Leadership training will be available to the right candidate, this is no cost to you
  • Opportunity for First Aid training.
  • Interactive Online Child Protection Policy Training
  • A uniform and Scarf will be provided.
  • Compulsory Police Background check will be undertaken

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Wednesdays from 7:00pm - 9:00pm Meet once a term to discuss each term about an hour of time. Camping/sleepovers also involved: Coastal Otago Zone Events (Hikes/Tramps, Adventurous Camps).
