Southland Hospital Volunteers Charitable Trust provides a small shop that offers various gifts, soft toys, knitting, toiletries, drinks and small food items to purchase. The profits from the shop are then used to purchase equipment and other items for all areas within the hospital e.g. lazy boy chairs, iPads, sensory items etc.
As a Shop Assistant you will:
- Work alongside another volunteer to staff the shop for a 3 hour shift.
- Be provided with clear work expectations, training and mentoring.
- Serve customers, process purchases, handle money and use the cash register and Eftpos.
- Assist with keeping the shop tidy and restocking supplies.

Time commitment
The Hospital Shop is open Monday to Friday.
- Three hour shifts are 10.00am-1.00pm OR 1.00pm- 4.00pm.
- Number and frequency of shifts to suit your availability.
