SCOUTING offers the chance to help young people to make a positive impact in their communities. SCOUTS are the world’s largest non-formal education institution, and New Zealand’s biggest mixed youth orginasation, serving over 13,000 young people of all races all across New Zealand.
SCOUT Leaders help children and young adults to reach their full potential by developing their skills including:
Full Training will be given so you can assist the Section Leader/Kaiarahi to deliver the Scouting Programme to their Youth members. You will help Mentor the youth to develop and advance their skills. Help them to overcome their fears and push themselves out of their comfort zone, while at the same time developing and advancing your own skills.
Being a Scout Leader is one of the most rewarding and enjoyable things you can do and they would love for you to be a part of the Fun and Adventure. Volunteer work will be a great addition to your CV.
A Police background check is required for this role.

Youth & Children
Volunteer South's office is closed from Friday 20th December until Monday January 6th. Many organisations listing roles online will also be taking a break. During this time your requests to connect will go through, however there may be some delay in you hearing from the organisations you select.
