Peer Support Group Helper

  • Do you want to meet wonderful new parents as they support one another in the early parenting journey?
  • Do you enjoy the opportunity to learn and challenge yourself alongside a supportive team of like minded people?
  • Are you a parent/grandparent/aunt keen to support new mums?

WellSouth is the Primary Health Network for the Southern locality to support people to look after themselves, promote healthy environments and help provide care, and support access to care, where and when it’s needed. Mums4Mums is a peer support group and meets twice monthly to support new mamas. Peer Supporters run this drop-in session and often have their own baby and/ or children with them and need some help to provide a welcoming, open and nourishing experience for other new mothers.

The Frankton Mums4Mums group are looking for someone to help with organising morning tea, and help set up and tidy over the course of the session. Having someone in this role would help the peer supporters running the group to focus on the needs of the mums and bubs in attendance.

Having a cuppa and biscuits sorted can be an invaluable treat for most new mums, and you can be the person providing that simple, yet important comfort!
