Located on Cardrona Valley Road in Wanaka, Aspiring Enliven provides housing in a caring, friendly setting and caters for residents of varying needs, including a dedicated dementia wing.
As part of this role, you will support and work alongside staff by:
- Accompany residents on the van outing
- engaging residents in conversation
- assisting and supporting getting on and off the van.

Requirements
Perfect for someone who:
- is friendly, reliable and trustworthy
- has good communication skills
- is physically capable of pushing wheelchairs
- is able to assist with moving furniture like chairs so residents can access and participate in activities
- have a natural and genuine interest in older people
- have a patient, caring and respectful attitude
- enjoy working in a team
- complete the appropriate training
- sign a code of conduct.
As you will be stepping into the 'Home' of elderly people, Enliven take great care in choosing their volunteers. You will need to complete a Police Check and provide references.
A Police background check is required for this role.
Time commitment
- 5-6 hours on a Wednesday, starting about 9:30am - 3:30pm
- weekly or fortnightly depending on your availability
- 6 month commitment preferred
