Cat Rescue Wanaka's primary aim is to reduce the number of stray cats and kittens living in Wanaka and the surrounding areas of the Upper Clutha. Founded in August 2018, their work is undertaken by a small number of dedicated volunteers who care for these stray cats and kittens in their own homes.

As their Social Media manager, you will be:

  • Scheduling a variety of posts (e.g. cats for adoption, educational, fundraisers etc).
  • Helping build followers on CRW Facebook and Instagram with interesting content
  • Engaging with the audience by replying to comments
  • Enjoying CReW Team Meetings and camaraderie at a local cafe every month or so.

They will work with you to create content for the posts based on your level of knowledge or experience.

Your work will help CRW raise awareness of their work, reach more people in the community and through this make progress towards their mission and goals. You will be part of a 100% volunteer organisation dedicated to animal welfare, and enjoy connecting with like minded people as you fulfil your role and gain valuable experience in the non-profit sector.
