Sew On Period Care is a grass roots collective based in Dunedin, New Zealand. It emerged from a frustration toward the predominant commercial, plastic-laden, mainstream period products available, and a desire to create a new, healthy, affordable and sustainable alternative. Now Sew On want to educate the community about these healthier alternatives, as they have discovered that period care solutions can be made inexpensively by sewing reusable pads. This encourages people to rethink period management and to consider starting their own sewing groups, to make pads for local communities.
