As a social services provider, Anglican Family Care has served the Otago community since 1970 with high-quality interventions and therapeutic support. Their main focus is to support vulnerable tamariki and rangatahi and their whānau. They work alongside Otago whānau to make positive change that inspires hope for a better future.

Funds will help bridge the financial short-fall, so they can employ whānau and social workers to raise the resilience and capacity of vulnerable tamariki and their whānau across Otago.

The Anglican Family Care annual Street Appeal is an opportunity for the agency to collect donations, but also have a presence in the community and create an awareness about the services our agency offers.

This role involves:

  • Standing/sitting outside with another volunteer.
  • Collecting for two hours on Friday 22nd November.
  • Greeting members of the public with a smile.
  • Receiving donations from the public.

Requirements

  • A pleasant and friendly manner.
  • Reliable.
  • Able to stand or sit for two hours.

Time commitment

  • Two hours on Friday November 22nd - anytime between 9am and 1.30pm.
