Help Whānau Āwhina Plunket to support local families with babies and young children to have the best start possible in life. Plunket offers hundreds of free services in communities nationwide for parents and children under 5 years of age.
Whether you are a Wrapper extraordinaire or simply want to give your time to raise funds for Invercargill Plunket, this role is the one! This is a fundraiser to support the work of Plunket Community Services in the Invercargill area.
As a Christmas Wrapping Volunteer you will:
- work as part of a team stationed at a Christmas Wrapping booth within the Invercargill Central Mall.
- christmas wrap gifts for those who are purchasing gifts from Invercargill Central businesses.
- engage with the public while wrapping their purchases.
- be provided with Youtube clips that will help with ways of wrapping the more challenging gifts.
By volunteering for this role, you will:
- Help Whānau Āwhina Plunket to support local families with babies and young children to have the best start possible in life.
- Help shoppers with their Christmas preparations at the same time as raising funds for Whānau Āwhina Plunket.
- Enjoy a fun environment and be part of a friendly team!
Requirements
- Be confident in working with the public.
- Interest in gift wrapping (Youtube clips can be emailed that will help with ways of wrapping the more challenging gifts)
Time commitment
- 1.5 or 2 hours per shift. Turn up 10 minutes before rostered time.
- Any day Friday 29th Nov - Sunday 8th Dec
There are three shifts available per day:
- Roster 1: 11am- 12:30pm
- Roster 2: 12:30pm - 2pm
- Roster 3: 2pm - 4pm
