Fundraising Coordinator

Grow Wānaka is a circular model community garden project working towards a more food secure, resilient and waste free community, while providing education, and community connection through collective growing, learning and sharing of ideas and skills.

They are seeking a new Fundraising Coordinator to assist with creating a fundraising strategy to achieve their goals for the year.

The role will involve:

• Creating a calendar of relevant funding opportunities for the year
• Creating a fundraising strategy based on the funding goals for the year
• Applying for funding and following up with successful applications
• Creating letters for sponsorship and connecting with aligned businesses
• Working closely with the team to achieve fundraising goals

You will be supported in the role by their passionate team including the long standing committee and garden project coordinator. Any existing knowledge and resources will also be shared with you as part of your induction.

Requirements

Ideally you are someone with:

• An open-mind, motivation and passion about regenerative food and community resilience.
• Fundraising experience with grants, sponsorships, bequests etc.

Time commitment

• 2 to 4 hours per month
• 1 committee meeting per month in person or video call.
