Friday Afternoon Depot Support

KiwiHarvest reduces the negative impacts of food waste on our environment by redistributing excess food; helping to create lasting positive social change by nourishing those in need. By providing food support to the community, they enable people to live an independent life.

They have a new depot located behind Five Mile in Frankton and they are looking for a team of helpers who can assist on semi regular basis on Friday afternoons between 2pm and 3.30pm. The role will involve some cleaning of crates and sorting and moving of stock.

Requirements

• Must be comfortable lifting up to 20kg crates as we regularly move stock around in crates.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors as the depot is all outdoors on a gravel surface apart from one covered area.

Time commitment

• The session will happen at the depot every Friday between 2pm and 3:30pm.
• If KiwiHarvest manage to get enough interest in the role they will likely manage rostering via Whatsapp as each session may require differing numbers of volunteers but just being semi regularly available to help at this time is great.
