Whanau Awhina Plunket is a non-profit national organisation whose people are passionately committed to the well-being of children and their families. Plunket supports families to ensure children reach their full potential in the first 5 years of life. Services available include parenting advice and support, child health promotion and health education.
Dunedin Plunket has a community garden onsite at their new Hub in South Dunedin that needs developing into a productive vegetable garden. You will be supported by the Dunedin Community Services Coordinator in developing a plan for the ongoing operation of the garden and ensure the garden remains in good shape throughout the year.
Plunket values volunteers who share their knowledge and gifts in various roles and they are keen to engage volunteers when they are available and in the capacity that they feel most comfortable giving their time. All materials and supplies will be provided within the budget.
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
