QT Community CATs is a volunteer-led organisation that supports the local community with desexing, microchipping/registering assistance, cat care education, and taking in and caring for surrendered or abandoned cats and kittens. They also run community outreach and wellbeing including offering companion cats as emotional support pets.

Be part of the supportive and well organised admin team ensuring the smooth operation of QT Community CATs enabling them to provide the much needed services and community programmes.

Their Xero/Accounting SuperStar is responsible for managing the financial aspects of the rescue to ensure transparency, accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Key duties include:

  • Maintaining and overseeing financial records.
  • Managing payments and reconciliations using Xero and online banking.
  • Preparing monthly statements and the annual financial reports.
  • Assisting with financial planning and budgeting.
  • Preparing financial statements for funding applications.

Requirements

  • Having training and/or background in accounting or Xero is desirable.
  • Amazing with numbers and finances.
  • Honest and reliable.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

  • Approximately 2-3 hours a week to keep track of in and outgoings.
  • This will increase during times when need to produce financial reports for auditing or prepare financial statements for funding appplications.
