MINT are not a multi-million dollar organisation – they're a small-scale, grassroots community charity that's been making a real difference in Wānaka since 2017. With just 3 part-time staff and an engaged board, they support 36 local families who have family members with intellectual disabilities. They're forward-thinking, flexible, and focused on real impact – and they're looking forward to celebrating 10 years of operation in 2027!
What you would be doing as Treasurer:
- Share insights and financial reports at their board meetings.
- Collaborate with their team on smart, practical budgeting.
- Ensure MINT meets charitable trust compliance (they'll help you navigate this).
- Bring fresh ideas on funding opportunities and financial sustainability.
- Help MINT plan for growth while staying true to our community roots.
No Stuffy Boardrooms Here! This is a manageable volunteer role – 10 board meetings a year with a group of people who actually care about making change happen. You'll bring energy, fresh thinking, and your financial know-how to help MINT grow sustainably and support more families. - Work with passionate, progressive people who share your values.
- Gain board experience in a supportive, modern environment.
