Breast Cancer Foundation NZ has a mission to prevent New Zealanders from developing and dying of breast cancer, while also supporting those affected. Funds raised go towards early detection education, supporting those with breast cancer, research & medical grants and advocacy. This February and March, the NZ House & Garden Tours play a vital role in the journey toward zero deaths from breast cancer.

As the proud charity partner, Breast Cancer Foundation NZ ensures the success of this event directly contributes to the continuation of vital projects and services. To achieve this, the event relies on the support of volunteers who serve as the heart of the tours, helping create an unforgettable experience for every visitor.

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Be stationed at one of the houses or at the hub
  • Help manage the flow of people
  • Assist with car parking
  • Look after the houses
  • Be the assigned point of contact for the location in your care

Volunteers play a key role in ensuring the tours run smoothly. You’ll help keep the homes safe and ensure that tour guests have a positive experience. Each house will be managed by a team of 4 to 10 volunteers, depending on the size of the property and any special requirements.

Requirements

Available for a minimum of four hours and a joyful energy to welcome tourgoers. No previous experience required.
