Secretary - Abbeyfield Dunedin

Organisation:

Abbeyfield Dunedin

Category:

Committee & Board

Dunedin

Abbeyfield Dunedin offers affordable rental accommodation to independent older people. They provide a much-needed housing option for people who want the benefit of companionship and support but don’t have the wish or the financial means to live in a retirement village or similar setting. Abbeyfield believes that older people have an important role to play in the lives of their families, friends, and the communities in which they live - where people belong, feel secure and comfortable, and live a life of companionship in a small household and community setting.

Abbeyfield Dunedin is a purpose-built comfortable home in Wakari where 9 residents live like a big whānau or family, sharing meals prepared by a housekeeper.

The committee who look after both the governance and management of the Abbeyfield Dunedin are a small and friendly group looking for another person to join them as Secretary. Their experienced committee members are happy to share their governance and management skills.
