Be Heard is a charity providing free counselling and group wellbeing programmes for children at primary and intermediate schools around Otago.

As a Board member you will be joining a team of 4 current board members contributing to the governance and strategic direction of Be Heard to support our focus on children. You will contribute to the strategic direction and governance of Be Heard to help them to continue to grow their impact.

Requirements

  • Experience in a school environment.
  • Willing to follow the principles of Te Trite o Waitangi.
  • Have an interest in children's wellbeing.
  • Previous Board experience is welcome but not essential.

Time commitment

  • Meetings are online once a month for approximately 1 hour from 5.30pm.
  • Board members are also welcome to come into the office at any time to meet the team and placement students.
