Adopt A Site - Child Cancer Foundation Street Appeal 2025

Child Cancer Foundation Otago/Southland
People | 6-30 people | Any town

Every week in Aotearoa, three families are told the heart-breaking news that their child has cancer. Child Cancer Foundation supports them every step of the way, but they need your help.

The Street Appeal is their biggest fundraising event of the year, where hundreds of incredible volunteers like you take to the streets to collect the critical funds needed to support children with cancer and their families.

Street Appeal will be on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 March 2025.

Got some people power? Adopt a collection site by getting your organisation, school or community group together to collect donations for one or both days. Perfect if your workplace offers time off to volunteer and do good in your community! Register your interest now and they will help you find a local site that’s best for you and your team.

With no government funding, Child Cancer Foundation needs to raise $6 million a year to wrap essential care around Kiwi kids with cancer and their families. That’s why every dollar collected at their Street Appeal makes a difference.

You can help by Adopting a Site:

  • Gather your group and adopt a site in your area for the day.
  • Manage your own roster and take ownership of the charity collection site.
  • An Area Co-ordinator will provide collection resources (buckets, stickers, bibs/sashes and instruction sheets) and bank the money.

Requirements

  • Ability to gather a group and adopt a site in your area for the day or 2 days.
  • Ability to manage your own roster and take ownership of the charity collection site.
