Adult Helpers are required to support Leaders at the relevant youth section in particular helping with the planning and delivery of the National Programme to the Kea, Cub, Scout or Venturer Group

  • Support the Leader in the delivery of the national programme for the relevant youth section
  • Share responsibilities with the other leaders, helpers, parents, committee members and scouting associates
  • Support the safe delivery of the programme in accordance within policy,
  • Organisation , events and adventurous activities
  • Help to prepare and encourage youth members to progress to the next level

Requirements

Team play, energy, honesty, awareness of child safety and child protection, and the ability to deliver structured programmes in a fun and engaging manner.

Smart casual according to the activities

Support is provided in a fun environment. A complete leadership development programme is available.

Peers support and mentoring.

Police check required. Character references essential.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

As groups meet on different days means that volunteering for SCOUTS can fit in with most people’s schedules
