Hawea Youth Club provides a safe, respectful and fun space for rural youth to enjoy sports and activities. The Club is located in Hawea Flat Hall, near Wanaka and is open on Friday evenings.

They are looking for a volunteer who is keen to seek out and apply for relevant funding opportunities to enhance the experiences they can offer.

Volunteers will gain recognition in their role, have the chance to be part of a friendly team who hold monthly meetings and can offer support and liaise on progress. This role will enable you to gain knowledge of the various different agencies and trusts offering funding in the area.

Requirements

Hawea Youth Club are looking for a volunteer who:

  • Have great communication skills
  • Have a willingness to work with youth
  • Are reliable, well organised and committed to delivering outcomes.

Fundraising experience would also be beneficial.

Time commitment

This role is for a few hours per month with a minimum commitment of seven to 12 months.

Volunteer South's office is closed from Friday 20th December until Monday January 6th. Many organisations listing roles online will also be taking a break.
