Could you give an hour and half of your time to help older people get out for a drive? St Andrews Home and Hospital offers rest home and hospital level care and in a supportive community for residents, with friendly staff and freshly cooked meals creating a home-like atmosphere.
They are looking for volunteer van drivers to take staff and residents on outings around the Dunedin area. Residents stay in the van and like to park somewhere with a good view and have social chat.
What would you do?
No two days are the same, 2 hours goes very fast and it's a wonderfully rewarding experience. Beware- you might experience a 'helper's high' as your volunteering can lead to a rush of euphoria and the release of endorphins!
A Police background check is required for this role.

During this time your requests to connect will go through, however there may be some delay in you hearing from the organisations you select. Please be patient and if you have not heard back from them by mid January email them directly and give them a nudge. Thank you and have a wonderful holiday season and summer.
