Presbyterian Support Otago works for a fair, just and caring community. We are looking for volunteers to drive our van with residents to and from their social outings. Social engagement and meaningful activity are essential to a healthy, happy life, no matter what your age. Iona is for people over 65 years and offers a range of social activities including discussions, presentations from guest speakers, singing and music, craft, outings, cooking and meals. There will also be an opportunity to be on a list to be called on to take residents to and from medical appointments


A full clean drivers licence.
An understanding of dementia would be helpful but not essential.
Good communication skills.
Punctuality and reliability.
Common sense.
Friendly, caring and respectful.
A good sense of humour.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

These outings are weekly on either Tuesdays or Thursdays and will be on a roster with other drivers.
