Board Member

PlusBus provides a shopping bus service and has one paid coordinator who is supported by a number of volunteers who either drive the van or assist as needed with clients at the supermarket. The board is also made up of volunteers.

We are seeking new board members to support the Trusts work and currently have three vacancies available. Experience required in:

  • Secretary or minute taking
  • Grant applications
  • Human Resources
  • Health and Safety
  • Or other governance experience.

Upon expression of interest, the Board Chair will have a no-obligation chat with the potential candidate.

Requirements

  • Friendly, team-orientated and supportive
  • Practical knowledge and problem solver
  • Able to commit to one board meeting every 2 months
  • Able to commit to a small amount of work outside of the board meetings to support the work that is done for the trust.
  • Police vetting and references would be required.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

  • 1 board meeting every 2 months for approximately 1 hour.
  • Usually 2nd Tuesday every 2 months at 2.30PM.
  • Equates to around 6 meetings per year, plus the Annual General Meeting.
