Our vision is for all in Aotearoa to live free from domestic and family violence and we are seeking a team of dedicated Crisis Line volunteers to provide crisis intervention and possible intake into our safe house for women, young people and children experiencing abuse.

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, talented and professional fundraiser. You must be confident and have experience in funding applications and you will be relationship - whanautanga focused. You will need drive, energy, and passion, you will be confident, personable, open and understand our mahi.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identifying prospective fiscal donors
  • Develop strategies to cultivate donor relationships according to their interests as they connect with our campaigns and objectives, ie Networking etc
  • Support our volunteer coordinator lead in fundraising campaign volunteer team, campaign and develop strong cases of support for our mahi.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in fundraising, philanthropy, community engagement or other relevant roles.
  • Outstanding relationship management, networking and interpersonal skills and experience.
  • Proven strategic capability to deliver an outstanding fundraising and philanthropy program.
  • The confidence to build strategic relationships, meet new people, engage inside and outside the organisation and deliver community presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills including for impact reporting, proposals and supporter communications.
  • Experience and attention to detail in budgeting, financial management and fundraising governance.
  • The highest standards of ethics and integrity to ensure the interests of all are protected.
  • A positive, flexible and collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to identify and attend networking
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience

  • Fundraising experience
  • Demonstrated success
  • Proven track record of delivering against agreed targets and deadlines
  • Highly developed communications skills, both written and verbal

Your own computer, phone and internet access is required.
Meetings from home or at various agreed locations as required.
Volunteers must pass Police Vetting.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Flexible, but some funding has strict deadlines.
