St. Barnabas provides nutritious hot meals made on site each day and brings them to Mosgiel to then be delivered to their clients in the area.
There is an opportunity open to become a valued part of the Meals on Wheels delivery team in your community.
They are looking for a volunteer driver who are available to cover a meal run every 2nd Tuesday and Thursday, or available on call. As a driver you will:
A basic induction/orientation is provided. The volunteer manager is able to show/accompany drivers in the first instance if necessary.
Your contribution of 40 minutes once a week, or 40 minutes once a fortnight, or even as a casual on call driver, can make a huge difference to the Meals on Wheels service and most importantly, to the lives of those receiving meals. The service simply could not exist without volunteer help and donations.

Driving
Volunteer South's office is closed from Friday 20th December until Monday January 6th. Many organisations listing roles online will also be taking a break. During this time your requests to connect will go through, however there may be some delay in you hearing from the organisations you select.
