South Alive is a charitable trust located in Invercargill. It's main focus is urban rejuvenation. Its vision is to create a vibrant and diverse community that takes the lead in its own future. Its mission is to empower the community by focussing on its strengths, and to build a place to live and work that engenders pride and inspires us.

The Pantry, located at 133 Grace Street Invercargill, is an important community hub for South Invercargill. It also incorporates a café, and zero waste wholefood retail and specialty store. They welcome a diverse range of volunteer superheroes, of different ages, genders and abilities. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or a full day, they'd appreciate your contribution.

At the Pantry Cafe and Retail Store you will be:

• A part of a fun and friendly team
• Cleaning and tidying the premises
• Displaying their products and assisting their customers
• Performing all other tasks necessary for the smooth running of the Pantry Café and Retail Store
• Serving customers in a retail sales capacity
• Working alongside others
• Provided with training necessary
• Assisting staff

Time commitment

• They are flexible, so whether you can spare a few hours a week or a full day, any contribution is appreciated
• The Pantry opening hours are:
  Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5.00pm
  Saturdays - 10.00am to 3.00pm
• They understand that your time is valuable, so they offer flexible volunteering hours to fit your schedule
