The Wanda Foundation was founded in 2021 with a focus of ‘inspiring positive environmental change through the arts’. With a strategy in place and a foundations to deliver arts project to promote kaitiaki, education and community engagement, their goal is to enable artists to deliver their projects to inspire positive environmental change.

This position for secretary has previously been held by a trustee but is available as a non-trustee role if an interested person would like to take the role without stepping onto the board. However, if you are keen, you can consider joining as a trustee as well.

  • Minute-taking at meetings and AGM
  • Sending minutes out in a timely manner
  • Task management and delegation
  • Research and reviewing of promotional/website material
  • Review applications
  • Support with events management
  • Organise AGM logistics
  • Schedule meetings and send reminders to board members

Currently, the role is being shared by others on the board, so they can all support you as you learn the role.

Your role will be an essential support to keep the operations of the foundation moving forward smoothly!

Requirements

  • Good communicator and note taking
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient with email communication, and google drive

Time commitment

  • 2-4hrs per week
  • one meeting per month that generally runs for 1HR. Sometimes 90 mins
  • During a project eg. new website build, an event, the time commitment can slightly vary
  • However they aim to keep time commitment manageable for the team
