Board of Trustees

Organisation:

The Wanda Foundation

Category:

Committee & Board

Hours:

Both/Flexible

Locations:

All Towns

The Wanda Foundation was founded in 2021 and focuses on inspiring positive environmental change through the arts. They aim to support artists by providing knowledge, advice and assistance with their projects, events and exhibitions. Their current geographical focus is the Deep South (Otago/Southland) but we aspire to become a nationally renowned trust.

The Board of Trustees has 4 members, but the constitution allows for 6, so they would love to engage two more people to further strengthen the team.

There is a foundational strategy in place to:

  • deliver arts projects which promote kaitiaki, education and community engagement
  • enable artists to deliver their projects to inspire positive environmental change

They are keen to engage new members with skills in:

  • governance
  • finances
  • marketing
  • fundraising

If you have experience and enthusiasm for community development, arts, sustainability, youth and education, you might be a great fit for the team.

How the board operates:

  • The allocation of tasks varies depending on what requires attention
  • As a board, they thrive on honesty and above all else sustainability for board members
  • Projects are taken on with careful consideration of everyone’s availability

Why get involved?

  • Be part of a motivated board who believe in pursuing great things
  • The board are keen to ensure that it remains a fun and rewarding experience for all involved
  • Create doubly positive change in the arts and environmental space

You don't need to be experienced in all of the above! If there are certain skill sets you hold which align with these, you can still help the vision for The Wanda Foundation to come to life, and they would love to hear from you.
