Skip Support Person - South D Spring Clean!

Dream South D project is a 5 year community led development initiative to deliver various community-led projects in South Dunedin. Their mission is to build on the South Dunedin community’s strengths and work together to get good stuff done!

***For this project, Dream South D will provide general waste skips to a location in South Dunedin to encourage residents to have a clear out meeting the Community Plan Project Theme - 'Looking Good'. Three skips will be delivered to a couple of locations in South Dunedin for the community to use on the day of the events. This will be a fun and positive day for the community.

As a Skip Support Person your main role will be:

• Marshalling traffic through the site
• Ensuring that everyone is kept safe and that pedestrians and volunteers are kept well away from moving traffic
• Communicating information to the public about restricted items
• Helping some people to place items in the skips may be necessary

Support Provided:

• H&S information will be provided in the induction and there will be a Dream South D staff member onsite at all times
• You'll be provided with a Hi Vis vest and safety gloves if required

Time commitment

• Sunday 2nd March 2025
• Volunteers are required for approx. 4hrs at the event. 10.15am -2.15pm
• Initial induction meeting prior to event: 15mins
