Food for Love is a community organisation that helps people living in the Upper Clutha region who are going through unexpected challenges in life. The wonderful team at Food For Love prepare and deliver nutritious, home cooked meals for those experiencing difficult times to help lift some of the pressure and show that their community is here to support them.

Established in 2016, Food For Love has grown rapidly, delivering over 9,000 meals to people living in the Upper Clutha in the past financial year. They have a website, and their social media presence includes an Instagram account and a Facebook page. While they have a loyal following, their posting can be a little irregular and sporadic.

Food For Love need someone to help them develop a comprehensive social media strategy to create a consistent voice, educate the community about their work, and expand their reach to ensure that anyone in need of a home-cooked meal is sent their way.

This role involves:

  • reviewing Food For Love's current social media channels
  • crafting a strategy
  • setting up a content plan to ensure online activities align with Food For Love's values, mission, and goals, while contributing to their growth and engagement.

This is a flexible, work-from-home voluntary position, with the option to work from the Food For Love office in Wānaka if that suits you better. It’s perfect for someone looking to give back to the community, make a meaningful impact, or gain valuable experience.

Requirements

This role would suit someone who is:

  • an all round good person! A kind, caring, community-minded individual.
  • qualified or experienced in social media planning.
