- Passionate about connecting communities with the land?
- Are you new to the area and/or want to meet amazing people?
- Could your skills and experience guide a charitable organisation towards achieving its vision and purpose?
Te Kākano Aotearoa Trust is a charitable organisation who have their own community-based native plant nursery. They support native habitat restoration in the Upper Clutha Basin and work with local community groups, schools, organisations & businesses in the effort to promote hands-on community land care through education and participation!
Their nursery and planting volunteers hail from all around the world and span all ages - from awesome locals to tourists, youth groups and schools to local businesses. Not only do they lend a helping hand each year but they leave a permanent personal mark on the Wanaka landscape for generations to come.
How you can get involved
