Community Link is the Upper Clutha region’s only one-stop community support and connection centre, serving the growing community across the full wellbeing spectrum. They work to provide information and support; connect and collaborate; and build a resilient community through development projects and cross-sector collaboration.
One such initiative is the Reconnecting Seniors Network, a collaboration between various agencies that aims to support the wellbeing of seniors by helping them stay connected and involved in their local community, through a series of services, groups, and events. Their last big event of the year is 'Around The World Musical Bingo', held at the Wanaka Community Hub, and they would love to have some volunteers to help with this.
Your role could include:
If bingo is fun, Musical Bingo is even more so for everyone involved! Your assistance will help the attendees feel supported and enjoy the event. You will be given an orientation when you arrive and there will be staff around to support you as needed. Nibbles and drinks will be provided for you for the duration of the event.
Monday 18th November, set up from 12pm, event is 2-4pm and pack down ending 5pm. Any time that you are able to give during these hours would be appreciated. Please indicate when you are available and if you are keen on any particular tasks.
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
