Dunedin Arts Festival has a proud tradition of bringing the best and most innovative theatre, music, dance, cabaret, and writers to Dunedin for the past 23 years. The Festival is happening this autumn (27 March - 6 April) and includes ticketed shows, free events, workshops and exhibitions.

Volunteers are an essential part of the Dunedin Arts Festival team, helping get the word out about the festival and creating a fantastic Festival experience for the audiences and artists.

They are looking for people that would be happy to distribute the Festival programme and posters to businesses and public spaces across Dunedin.

What the role involves:

  • Delivering festival programmes across the city suburbs and business areas (Port Chalmers, Portobello, Mosgiel, Waverly, Musselburgh, Roslyn, North Dunedin and so on).
  • Politely approaching local businesses or community spaces.
  • Keeping track of delivery locations.
  • Would be suitable for a couple or friends to do together.

This role would suit someone who:

  • Is happy communicating with local businesses.
  • Has an interest in the arts
  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Able to keep a list of where they have delivered.
  • Has access to a vehicle.
  • You could do this on foot, keeping in mind the programmes are of a magazine weight and size.

Requirements

The Volunteer Coordinator and the Producer will communicate with you about where to collect the programmes and posters from and provide a list of places for you to distribute to.

The programmes can get heavy but you can use a trolley or similar if that suits you!

Time commitment

They are keen to work with the time you have to give, between now and 26 March.
