Join The Halo Project for a one-day native tree planting event at Warauwerawera (Wharewerawera)/Long Beach to help restore local biodiversity and create habitat for precious wildlife like pakake/sea lions 🦭.

Enjoy a free sausage sizzle, hot drinks, and bikkies with fellow nature lovers! 🌭☕🍪

📍 Where: DoC Reserve – 111 Beach Road, Long Beach 9081
🗓 When: Saturday 7th June 10am – 3pm
🌱 What: Planting native seedlings.
🦭 Why: To enhance the biodiversity at this site, like providing habitat for pakake/sea lions!
🔧 How: All tools will be provided, along with a delicious sausage sizzle lunch, hot drinks and biscuits!
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Tasks for all abilities - no experience necessary!

All you need to do is:

  • RSVP by Wednesday 4th June with your dietary requirements
  • BYO water and snacks

Requirements

  • Wear closed toed shoes and clothing suited to the weather
  • Bring your own water and snacks
  • RSVP with any dietary needs to alice@haloproject.org.nz by Wednesday 4 June
