Aroha Kaikorai Valley is a community group focused on looking after the Kaikorai stream and its surrounds. They run rubbish cleanups, planting days, a predator trapping network, and host monthly community meetings. Your role will enable people to host predator traps in their yards and be part of a movement bringing about massive change.

Your role will be office-based and involve:

  • responding to email queries from residents across Kaikorai Valley about hosting predator traps.
  • making appointments with volunteer trap installers, who will be putting the traps in the hosts' yards.
  • emailing new trappers with information about how to set the traps and how to log catches.
  • adding new trappers to the Aroha Kaikorai Valley mailchimp email database.

Your work will result in trappers having the right information to do the job, which in turn will help to bring back the native wildlife. You will gain experience in using predator management tools such as trap.nz and meet some new and interesting people.
