Aroha Kaikorai Valley
The Trust's mission has four major parts: Water - clean water in Kaikorai Stream to the sea. Plants - replace weeds with native plants and significant trees. Predators - remove predators from our valley. Birds - look after our precious birds.
Roles Available:
Trap Installation Administrator
Support conservation around the Kaikorai Stream by coordinating backyard predator trap installations and a growing volunteer network. This office-based role plays a key part in helping restore native wildlife in the area.
Community Trapper
Are you social, friendly & community-minded? Support backyard trappers by managing traps, checking baits, and connecting with locals who care about protecting wildlife. Perfect for anyone who loves conservation and community.
Advanced Trap Checker
A conservation-minded “mountain goat” who is very fit, comfortable on steep and uneven terrain, and has their own vehicle is needed to check and replenish traps so our native wildlife can flourish!
Trainer of Volunteer Trappers
Share your trapping experience to induct, train and upskill trap installers and trappers. Support conservation efforts while connecting with others who care about the environment.
Trap Installer
An exciting opportunity to help the environment by providing an opportunity for native wildlife to flourish. You'll meet others in your community while installing predator traps in local backyards and organisations.
