Te Atamira is a multi-purpose, community-oriented arts and cultural space in the heart of the Whakatipu region. Te Atamira offers a wide-ranging programme of exhibitions, workshops, classes, performances, events and talks designed for everyone to be creative, every day. They have 22 purpose-built spaces, including an art gallery, dance studios, performance spaces, a recording studio, music teaching and rehearsal rooms, a pottery studio, art workshop and a community project space. Te Atamira means platform or stage in te reo. Their mission is to be a platform for creativity to flourish for everyone, every day.
An integral part of the events team at Te Atamira, assisting with on-site event delivery to ensure success of fascinating & fun events, including live performances by local and visiting artists, workshops, exhibition openings and more.
Be the warm and friendly face that creates a welcoming experience for all visitors. This role involves greeting guests, handling inquiries, conducting gallery tours, and supporting our Front of House team.
Work closely with the exhibitions and programmes team to prepare and install/deinstall exhibits, and ensure that artworks are displayed/removed professionally and safely.
