Whanake House's vision is to foster social interaction and vocational development in young adults with high-functioning disabilities, such as Aspergers/Autism, ADHD, AuADHD, physical disabilities, and Down Syndrome. They aim to bridge the gap for young people with high-functioning disabilities who, after leaving school, often become socially isolated and get lost within the system. Whanake House offer a goal-based transition to enter young adults into work experience, community placements and/or tertiary education.
