Mōkihi Reforestation Trust was formed by Cromwell locals in 2015, after initially being developed as an initiative of the Te Kakano Nursery and Restoration group in Wanaka. Their mission statement is: To engage, motivate and educate the community in sustainable ecological restoration so as to enhance and restore Cromwell's indigenous ecosystem for now and future generations.
Volunteers are the heart of the Mōkihi Trust group! They welcome anyone interested in native habitat restoration to join them on Planting Days throughout the year.
Volunteer duties can include:

As a volunteer, you will enjoy:
Roles are family-friendly and children are welcome and encouraged to join in. You will be shown what to do when you arrive, so all are welcome, regardless of experience. Gloves and tools are provided.
A willingness to get involved, work with others and enjoy yourself!
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
