Insight Endometriosis is a charity that supports people in New Zealand to make their own decisions about the treatment and management of their endometriosis. Each person's experience of endometriosis is different and Insight Endometriosis provides information guides provide evidence-based information, as well as helpful tips from those that have lived experience of endometriosis.

Ensuring that health professionals and practices and centres nationwide have comprehensive information related to endometriosis and Insight Endometriosis services is essential to the impact that IE can have across the country.

As one of their Distribution Team Leaders, you can play a key role in this effort- from wherever you are based in NZ!

2 roles available.
Printed Distribution Team Leader

  • maintain a distribution list of health professionals and practices/medical centres nationwide
  • organise the printing of material in areas across Aotearoa, New Zealand
  • assign delivery projects to Delivery Volunteers
  • maintain contact with the volunteers regarding their progress and any delivery delays
  • roster our Delivery Volunteers to check in with practices and medical centres regarding brochures and posters needed

Digital Distribution Team Leader

  • maintains the nationwide list of health practices and medical centres on the IE system
  • oversees List Administrator Volunteers
  • assigning practices/medical centres to collect contact details of health professionals with an interest in endometriosis and/or women's health

For both roles, you will receive a thorough induction with key information about endometriosis and the operations of Insight Endometriosis as well as all the resources you will need to be successful in your role. You will gain satisfaction from supporting volunteers who are also passionate about this cause and creating a nationwide impact.

Requirements

Having knowledge or lived experience about endometriosis is not required, just a genuine passion for helping those affected.

Whichever role you choose, ideally you are someone who:

  • has experience with staff/volunteer supervision and leading a team
  • can manage rosters
  • can work to set deadlines
  • has your own phone and computer/laptop, with the ability to access email, calls and text
  • is tech savvy and has the ability to learn how to use an online work management system
  • is able to maintain accurate, legible and timely records
  • is proactive with strong organisational and time-management skills
  • has excellent interpersonal skills to maintain good relationships
  • has an ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
  • has strong communication skills and etiquette– verbal and written (across phone, email, etc.)
  • is proficient in English language and grammar
  • can work as a member of a remote collaborative team
  • is honest and reliable, and understands confidentiality

Time commitment

Either role can fit in with personal commitments, allow 1-2 hours a week ensuring contact with volunteers to coordinate their delivery work. Both roles are remote, and you can manage your time as it works best for you.
