Super Saturday is an event at the Gore Town & Country Club providing opportunities for children under 5 to catch up on their health checks, including Well child check, immunisations and oral health. Whanau Awhina Plunket will also be providing fun activities and entertainment for families.

Whanau Awhina Plunket is a non-profit national organisation committed to the well-being of children under 5 and their families. They are collaborating with other health providers and organisations to provide this event.

As Event Support you will be:

  • Helping to run a smooth event
  • Providing a wonderful experience for all community visitors
  • Helping organisations to set up for the event
  • Helping with traffic management
  • Engaging with families at the Plunket activities (craft and face painting)
  • Helping with pack-down at the end of the day.

Volunteers will be provided with:

  • Full training at the beginning of the shift
  • A T-shirt for the duration of the event
  • Snacks and a break, for volunteers who stay for the entire shift.

  • Ability to interact with families
  • 16+ years or 12+ years if accompanied by an adult

Time commitment

  • The event runs from 10am - 2pm with set up and pack down outside of these hours (from 9am to 3pm).
  • You can volunteer for the whole event or if you have an hour or two to spare within that time frame they would welcome your support.
