Presbyterian Support Southland's vision is a community where all people can make the most of their strengths and feel included, valued and safe. Working in Southland, New Zealand they provide support to older people through Enliven and support for children, young people and their families through Family Works. Enliven services include retirement living, residential aged care and community support. Family Works offers a range of social services, from counselling and social work support, through to buddy and parenting programmes.

Lounge Companion – Iona at Peacehaven
Are you looking for a meaningful way to connect with others and bring joy into someone’s day? Become a Lounge Companion at Iona unit, supporting residents at rest home and hospital level care – including those living with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Visitor – Making a Difference in Someone’s Day!
Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Become a Volunteer Visitor at one of Enliven Southland’s care homes, where you'll help brighten the lives of our elderly residents with your time, conversation, and presence.
Van Drivers
Do you have two hours to spare weekly, fortnightly, or monthly? Join Enliven Southland as a Volunteer Van Driver and help older people get out and about, enjoy a scenic drive, have an ice cream, and experience the joy of connection and companionship.
Trips and Outings Companion
Do you enjoy getting out and about, exploring the local area, and meeting new people? Enliven Southland is looking for warm, friendly volunteers to accompany residents on local outings – from Riverton for ice cream, to scenic drives and community events.
Big Buddy - Whakatipu
Big Buddies are needed for a one-to-one mentoring programme for children between the ages of 4 and 12 to offer friendship, support and guidance enhancing the life of the young person.
In-home Supporter
Give your time to help people maintain their independence by offering a helping hand as well as providing companionship and friendship.
