The Heartland Otago Southland Life Education Trust is a charitable community-based trust, responsible for overseeing the delivery of Life Education services to the children and schools of our catchment area. They inspire tamariki and rangitahi to make positive choices. Every year they teach over 250,000 children about their body, friendships, their identity, wellbeing, food and nutrition and helpful and harmful substances.
They are one of 32 community trusts delivering these services across New Zealand, with the support of the national body, Life Education Trust (NZ). Life Education’s mascot is Harold the Giraffe.

A Police background check is required for this role.
They meet once per month for approximately 2 hours, generally in the Roxburgh area. Meetings through the winter months are held via zoom. Due to the mix of governance and management activities required, a time commitment of 4-6 hours per month outside of these meetings is likely.
