What You'll Do:

  • Assess existing systems and identify areas to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide technical support to their team of staff and volunteers.
  • (Optional) Collaborate to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • (Optional) Help document systems and applications for easier use.
  • Work remotely or in person with the Wānaka based team.
  • Be inducted and supported by the WAI Wānaka team.
  • Have flexibility and independence to work on this project, with occasional check-ins.

Requirements

Ideally you are someone with:

  • Experience in systems analysis, software, or IT tools such as Office365, Airtable (or similar)
  • An understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A desire to contribute your time and skills to a meaningful cause.
  • Your own laptop, phone, and good internet connection.

Time commitment

WAI understands that your time is valuable, so they aim to make this opportunity flexible and manageable. They will share their key objectives, and work with you to create the overall timeline of the project.

  • They estimate that this role may require approximately 4 hours per week for 4 months.
  • Occasional meetings during office hours (M-F 9am-4pm) to liaise with the team.
  • This can be adjusted based on your availability and the project’s needs.

Whether you can dedicate a few hours a week or contribute more intensively for a shorter period, they would love to hear from you and are happy to work together to find an arrangement that works for both you and the project.
