The Whakatipu Reforestation Trust's mission is to grow native plants at its Jean Malpas Community Nursery and to use these plants to plant in public areas to enhance biodiversity in the Wakatipu Basin.

Join WRT's efforts to plant native trees around Queenstown this Autumn and play your part in restoring the biodiversity of this beautiful region!
Community Nursery Volunteer Sessions
Help grow native plants, which will be planted out into public reserves all around the basin. A great way to meet new people, learn more about native plants, local conservation and how locals are volunteering their time to look after our environment.
Native Plant Maintenance
Native plant maintenance volunteer. Approx 2-3 hours per week in Arrowtown.
