Blind Low Vision NZ
Blind Low Vision NZ (formally the Blind Foundation) is the leading provider of vision support services across Aotearoa. Every year, thousands of New Zealanders adjust to sight loss, and Blind Low Vision NZ is there to help. Across Otago, Southland, Timaru and Waimate, their dedicated team works alongside people of all ages to build confidence, independence and connection. The organisation offers a wide range of services including mobility training, daily living skills, accessible technology, emotional support, a talking library and guide dog partnerships. Support is personalised and focused on helping people live the life they choose. Volunteers are an important part of this work. With their help, clients can attend appointments, stay socially connected, learn new skills and feel more included in their communities. Volunteers bring kindness, patience and practical support that makes a real difference. By combining professional expertise with community heart, Blind Low Vision NZ helps ensure no one has to face sight loss alone.
